Pilot, YouTuber, and fitness influencer Gaurav Taneja dons many hats, all of which contribute to his net worth. Also known as the Flying Beast, Taneja’s net worth is estimated to be around Rs 35 crores. But how does a pilot who became an influencer become so rich?
Since he started as a pilot, his approximate earnings range between Rs 10 to 12 lakh. Then, he gets quite a few brand endorsements every month which contributes around Rs 3-4 lakh to his revenue. Taneja has also invested in luxury homes and automobiles worth Rs 6-7 crores. He has over 7 million subscribers on YouTube and this again translates into an income of almost Rs 20 lakh. In fact, Taneja has two other accounts on YouTube, one about fitness and the other about her daughter. Collectively, these fetch over Rs 25 lakh. As he has a penchant for fitness, he continues to participate in different bodybuilding competitions and has won a few of them as well.
Taneja is married to commercial pilot and influencer Ritu Rathee and they do a lot of content together. They also participated in a reality TV show called Smart Jodi. The couple also met former US President Barack Obama in Singapore.
It was in 2020 when Taneja came into the picture. He shared a video in which he pointed out his airline’s outrageous violations. Eventually, he was fired by the airlines. In fact, Taneja once again found himself embroiled in controversy when he tweeted that Havan is a natural antidote to pollution. He wrote that when the gas tragedy in Bhopal happened, two families were unaffected as they regularly performed Havans in their homes. Last Saturday, he was arrested by Delhi police for celebrating his birthday at a metro station. His supporters and fans stormed the station then under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and Section 188 which include disobedience to an order duly issued by an official, he was stopped.
